What this website collects, where it goes, and how to reach us about it.
Mary, Mother of Mercy Pastorate keeps this website simple. Most pages only show information. This notice explains the few places where information about you is involved.
Booking a meeting with a priest
When you book a meeting, you give us your name, email address, and, if you choose, a phone number and a short note about the topic. The website sends these, with the time you chose, directly to the chosen priest’s Google Calendar as a calendar event, and Google Calendar emails you the invitation. If you choose to meet online, Google Calendar also adds a Google Meet video link to the invitation. The website does not keep its own copy of your booking.
The event, with your details, stays on the priest’s calendar like any other appointment. The priest may delete it after the meeting. To change, cancel, or ask about a booking, reply to the invitation or contact the parish office.
To prevent abuse, the booking form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person rather than an automated program is using the form, usually without asking you to do anything. Cloudflare processes information about your browser and connection for that check under its own privacy policy. The website also counts booking attempts from each internet connection for one hour. It stores only a scrambled, one-way code made from your network address, never the address itself. Names may not contain links, and topics may not contain links or email addresses.
Priests who accept bookings
Each priest connects his own Google account once. The website stores the connection key, encrypted, and uses it only to check when the priest is busy and to add booked meetings to his calendar. It does not read, change, or share other calendar events. A priest can disconnect at any time from his Google account’s security settings.
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes network requests to deliver pages and protect the site. When it is enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Links to giving, bulletin, newsletter, and Mass intention services take you to those providers, whose own privacy policies apply.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
